Longtime Pixologic friend and active ZBrushCentral member Dmitrij Leppée is about as well-rounded a ZBrusher as you will find! When he’s not creating top level, accurate medical visualizations for Vida Systems,  he’s also recently worked as the chief horse modeler on the film Troll Bridge. Dmitrij strives to complete as much of his work within ZBrush as possible and has mastered a wide set of skills.

The good people at Naughty Dog are Pixologic friends and have put ZBrush to great use in the past with legendary game titles like The Last of Us. This year, they will be introducing Uncharted 4 to the world and so far, what we’re seeing looks incredible! This may very well be the beginning of an era where highly detailed, high polygon models are able to be used in actual gameplay and where the benefits of having ZBrush in the digital pipeline can shine through more than ever.

The original bottle is for a 50 year old batch of Highland Park Scotch Whisky and was designed by renowned Scottish jewelry designer Maeve Gillies. Arnab’s sculpt is a faithful recreation expertly modeled and rendered.

ZBrushCentral member Neil Gallagher was commissioned to design this limited edition display for Ballantine’s Whisky. The design was conceived by artist Leif Podhajsky and features a 3D printed adornment for the bottle. The piece depicts 12 independent strata to symbolize the 12 year aging process undergone by each bottle of Ballantine’s. Each year adds to the whisky’s color palette which is shown in final form at the top.

The Array Mesh feature offers a unique instancing system that makes it possible for you to experiment with elaborate scenes while maintaining a low polygon count. Released as part of ZBrush 4R7, the Array mesh system can duplicate a single piece of geometry as many times as needed, and in boundless configurations. This workshop will focus on how Array Mesh can be used to build elaborate landscapes, as well as for adding that last bit of detail to accessories, weapons and small props.
